The problem

A tiny detail that quietly costs you.

You finished the hard part - the product, the design, the launch. Then the favicon turns into a maze of sizes, formats and stubborn backgrounds, and the smallest asset on your site becomes the most frustrating.

Google won't show your icon

Your site looks half-finished in search results and browser tabs - and a missing icon is one more box Lighthouse and SEO audits flag against you.

Endless sizes, all by hand

16, 32, 48, 180, 192, 512, a maskable variant, a manifest, a Microsoft tile. Miss one and a platform falls back to a blurry default.

Backgrounds that won't budge

Your logo arrives on a white or colored box, and isolating it cleanly means yet another detour through a heavy image editor.

Hours you don't have

What should take a minute becomes an afternoon of exporting, renaming, and double-checking - for the smallest asset on your whole site.

It's a five-minute job that somehow eats your evening - and leaves a polished product feeling unfinished in every browser tab.

Why I built this

I'm Nico. I spent years as a mechanical engineer before I fell for building software full-time - making tools I actually wanted to use, not just polished demos.

On one of my own sites I obsessed over SEO, then watched Google ignore my favicon for weeks. A missing apple-touch-icon and a half-correct manifest quietly hold you back - and getting every size right by hand is fiddly, thankless work. My logos always seemed to arrive on the wrong background, too.

So I built Logo2Favicon: drop in one image, lift the background, and walk out with every favicon, app icon, maskable variant, manifest and HTML snippet - generated privately in your browser, in seconds. The tool I wished existed.

Google finally shows my favicon
I'd shipped my site months ago and the favicon never showed in search. I dropped in a fresh set from here and within a week Google was rendering it next to my listing. Wish I'd found this sooner.

Background gone in one click
My logo came on a white box and I dreaded opening Photoshop. The background removal nailed the cutout on the first try and the edges were clean. Saved me an entire evening.
THTomás HerreraProduct designer
Every size, zero guesswork
I never remember which sizes Apple wants versus Android. This handed me the whole set, correctly named, plus the manifest. I just pasted the snippet and moved on.

Faster than reading the docs
I opened it to 'just try it' and had a production ZIP before I finished my coffee. The fact that it runs in the browser and never uploads my art sealed it for me.

Our whole agency uses it now
We ship client sites every week and favicons were always the annoying last 10%. Now it's a 30-second step with clean output every single time.
SASofia AlmeidaAgency owner
The maskable icon just worked
Installed our PWA on Android and the icon finally filled the circle properly instead of floating in a white square. The safe-zone padding is spot on.

No login, no catch
I kept waiting for the paywall. There isn't one. No account, no watermark, no 'upgrade to download'. Genuinely refreshing in 2026.

Crisp even at 16px
Most generators just downscale and you get mush in the tab. These stayed sharp at 16×16. You can tell someone actually cared about the rendering.
KWKenji WatanabeUI engineer
Cleared my SEO checklist
Lighthouse kept flagging a missing apple-touch-icon and manifest icons. One export here cleared all of them. Green scores, no more red warnings.

From messy PNG to brand-ready
My source logo was a low-effort export. Between the background removal and the variants, it came out looking intentional across every single platform.

How it works

Five guided steps. No design skills needed.

The generator walks you from raw logo to shippable package - and you can stop at any step the moment it looks right.

  1. 01

    Upload

Drop any PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG - a single source image is all it takes. 1024×1024px or larger is ideal.

  2. 02

    Background cleanup

Sample the backdrop and remove a solid color to get clean transparency in a single click.

  3. 03

    Enhancing

Tidy up leftover edge fringe from the cutout so the boundary stays sharp at every size.

  4. 04

    Variants

Set the fit, padding, corner radius, background and the maskable safe-zone across all four treatments.

  5. 05

    Download

Grab one ZIP with every format, the web manifest and a paste-ready HTML snippet. Done.

Pricing

It's free. All of it.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is Logo2Favicon really free?

Yes. Every feature is free with no sign-up, no watermark, and no usage limits. Generate as many icon sets as you like.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens locally in your browser. Your logo never leaves your device, which keeps it private and makes generation instant.

Which files do I get in the download?

A ready-to-ship ZIP containing favicon.ico, PNG favicons (16-96px), Apple touch icon, Android/PWA icons (192 & 512), a 1024px master, a maskable icon, and a Microsoft tile - plus a web manifest, HTML snippet, and setup notes.

What image should I upload for the best result?

Upload a square PNG or SVG at 1024×1024px or larger. Transparent backgrounds work best, but the built-in background removal and edge cleanup tools can isolate a logo from a solid backdrop.

How do I add the icons to my website?

Unzip the package into your site's root or public folder, then paste the included HTML <link> tags into your <head>. The bundled README walks you through Next.js, static HTML, and PWA setups.

Does it support PWA and maskable icons?

Absolutely. You get a complete web manifest plus a maskable 512×512 icon with safe-zone padding so your app looks crisp on Android, iOS, and desktop installs.

Can I use the icons for commercial and client projects?

Yes. The icons are generated from your own artwork and are yours to use however you like - personal sites, commercial products, and client work included. There's no watermark, attribution requirement, or usage limit.

Your favicon set is ten seconds away.

One logo in. Every icon out. Free forever, no sign-up, never leaves your browser.
